- Contents: The 8th generation skyline was released in 1989. The best focal point is the return of the GT-R (BNR32) high performance grade that actually revived in 16 years since 1973. The GT-R is the same model that was introduced in 1969, and is equipped with a 2.6 liter twin turbo 6 DOHC engine that generates 280 horsepower, and it also incorporates the most advanced full-time 4WD system for racing at that time. The BNR32 model was developed to conquer the touring car races in the middle of the 1980s, but as an opponent's opinion, it boasts overwhelming strength and eventually destroying other cars and became GT-R one-make race to extinguish the race in the Group A category.
